in indianapolis. this is their winning performance. awesome. congratulations. >> fantastic. >>> some local universities getting graded on how well they teach your kids. kristen dahlgren is live in washington wearing her college spectacles and a look at which northern california colleges will make the grade. surprising numbers this morning. >> reporter: yeah. they really are. i'm sure a lot of these universities are not going to be happy with this latest report card. the report is titled what will they learn. it looked at more than 700 universities across the country, they looked at how well or how many of these required core curriculum courses do they make students take before they graduate. they looked at seven key subjects, math, history, science, literature, foreign language, composition and economics. what they found was students have these huge knowledge gaps. they gave more than 60% of the schools they looked at less than a "c" or below. so, let's look and see how some of the local schools did. uc berkeley, davis, santa cruz came in with fs on requiring one of those subjects or none
-year-old motorcycle racer at the indianapolis speedway. his name was peter lentz and died yesterday after wiping up before a warmup lap on a race. he was run over by another rider who was 12 years old. he's the youngest to ever die on that same speedway. >> all right. seven time cy young award winner roger clemens will be arraigned in washington, d.c. that will be at 2:00 eastern today. the six count indictment accuses him of lying to congress when he claims he never used steroids or h.g.h., human growth hormones. if convicted, clemens faces between 15 and 21 months behind bars and he has that civil suit looming if he pleads guilty or cuts a deal. >> he has a few issues. >> the imam behind the proposed mosque near ground zero said election year politics are to blame for the fueling of the islamic center. in an interview with the paper, rauf blames a tiny minority for leading the opposition. rauf compared the struggle of muslims to america to the earlier struggles of jews and cathol catholic immigrants. he made the comments during a taxpayer funded trip to the middle east. >> canadi
